FBHA Partners with the Kate Hasting Band

Nashville-based, Country Music up and comers, The Kate Hasting Band are frequently approached  by philanthropic organizations to offer support or partnerships. They take each request seriously and try to support their communities in every way they can.

When Jeff Dill approached the band about the FBHA, they just knew they had to meet with him.  Eventually Jeff was able to sit down with Kate and Josh in Nashville and speak to them about the many struggles fire fighters and other first responders face as they try to cope with the daily trauma.

He explained the high rate of PTSD, depression, and suicide risks that often go unspoken until it’s too late.  His initiative to educate the public and his fellow first responders touched a chord with the musicians.

It was a pivotal meeting and Kate and Josh agreed to pray over Jeff’s request to join the FBHA as partners. Once the band members had a chance to discuss the prospect, they discovered that they both felt a deep connection with Jeff’s message.  Although the underlying reasons may be different, they recognized the same mental health issues also plague the artist community and knew they were meant to partner with FBHA. “We so respect everything that Jeff and his team do through FBHA” says Kate, “We couldn’t be more at peace with this partnership.”

“Each day these brave men and women fight unbelievable battles to keep us safe. We are proud to be a part of this”, explained Josh.

About The Kate Hasting Band:

In a genre where outside musical influence has easily overtaken priority to roots, Kate Hasting Band founding members Kate Hasting and Josh Beale feel a welcomed responsibility to use other genres as a compliment to their Midwest country sound. “Country music is all about honesty, no matter how brutal,” explains Hasting. “We were both raised on farms in in communities driven by the genre, and know fans can call a farce from a mile away.” In 2013, they released their debut EP “Country Music”, co-produced by award-winning engineer and producer Chad Carlson (Taylor Swift, Trisha Yearwood, Chase Rice) and legendary guitarist Rob McNelley (Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Jake Owen). In 2015, the band released singles Just Friends, Country Music (reprise) and Behind the Bleachers, all produced by Tyler Smyth (Dangerkids). The video for Behind the Bleachers earned director Nishan Gilmet, an Emmy nomination, and was quickly picked up by Great American Country (GAC), The Country Network (formerly ZUUS Country), and several other regional music outlets nationwide.
